Hydrate + Plump Filler Aftercare

First things first—don’t panic if you notice some redness, swelling, or even a few bumps and bruises after your filler appointment. That’s totally normal and can actually increase over the first 48 hours. Your final results will take about 7–14 days to settle in, so give it time and try not to overanalyze every little thing in the mirror.

A few tips to help you heal and get the best results:

  • You can use a cool compress if you’re feeling puffy, but skip the direct ice.

  • Stay out of the sun right after your appointment to reduce the risk of dark spots or hyperpigmentation.

  • Don’t poke or press on the treated areas. If you do notice a visible bump, check in with your injector before massaging it.

  • Be gentle with your skin—stick to a mild cleanser and avoid exfoliating, rolling, or anything harsh.

  • Try not to put pressure on the injected areas (especially when sleeping or resting).

  • Skip any blood-thinning products (unless prescribed).

  • Avoid heavy workouts for 24 hours.

  • No sun exposure for 24–28 hours.

If you had cheek filler: try sleeping on your back. A little hack? Put your hair in pigtails to discourage rolling onto your side while you sleep!
